Associate members
Equipment manufacture organisations can request to become Associate members of OREDA. The basis of acceptance is that it will create a win-win situation for Company members and Associate member.
Associate member benefits
The Associate Members will receive feedback on the performance of their equipment in-service to compare the reliability performance of their equipment against industry standard equipment to focus resources, improve reliability, reduce costs, etc.
The Company Members will acquire more reliable equipment thereby improving safety and production availability with additional benefits in a reduction of operation and maintenance costs.
Associate member benefits
The Associate Member will have access to the following;
- OREDA equipment inventory description (Guideline) to enable a full understanding of the equipment structure in OREDA.
- Access to specific OREDA software for equipment data collection and analysis, enabling co-operation with Company Members in the collection and analysis of equipment reliability data. Methods and procedures for accessing and use of OREDA software and data shall be established in more detail for the relevant Associate Member.
- Additional filtering capability above that of a non-member subscription user.
- An administrator with the ability to add and remove employee access.
- Unlimited employee access, not to a fixed license quota.
- Direct contact with Company Member representatives of OREDA
Collaboration
The main activities are expected to include, but not limited to:
- A mechanism and forum for the collection and exchange of operating experience / data for relevant equipment of interest to Company and Associate Members.
- Use collected experience / data to:
- Improve the design features for new equipment models.
- Improve reliability/ operation/ intervention / maintenance methods for existing and new models.
- Contribute to the development of common definitions, formats and methods for utilising operating experience including participating in relevant national and international standardisation work.
- Set minimum performance standards in equipment procurement.
- Define the inventory detail, technical specifications and failure modes for new equipment classes or significant design changes to existing equipment classes.
